Veteran Running Back Officially Announces Retirement From The NFL
While all the eyes of the NFL world are currently fixated on Kansas City and the 2023 NFL Draft, one of the leagues veteran running backs has quietly announced his retirement from the game after 10 seasons in the NFL.
That would be former Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Giovanni Bernard, and while he never pushed through to elite status in the game, he had a solid career and was one of the most explosive and versatile players at the position for years.
Over that 10 year period, Bernard racked up 3,783 yards on the ground and 22 Touchdowns, as well as 2,989 yards receiving along with 14 Touchdowns, and he should no doubt be celebrated as one of the most enjoyable players to watch for an entire era of fans, particularly in Cincinnati.10 years ago, I came into this league grateful. Grateful for what God has done for me to get to that moment and to celebrate all the obstacles that were overcome. And now fast forward 10 years, I leave humbled.
