Veteran Defensive End Makes Bold Statement About His New Team
The Atlanta Falcons have had a fantastic off-season thus far, bringing in safety Jessie Bates from the Bengals, as well as adding Tae Davis and Taylor Heinicke, but perhaps the best move of all they saved for last, as they added veteran defensive end Calais Campbell in recent times, bolstering the defensive front.
Despite having an unproven QB under centre and an inexperienced group of weapons, Campbell isn't lacking for confidence in the Falcons, as he has gone on record saying "I wouldn't be surprised if we're playing late in January and potentially February".
However, the NFC is clearly wide open (assuming Aaron Rodgers is off to the Jets), so if Atlanta can get rolling and take down the weakened NFC South, absolutely anything could happen, so keep an eye on the Atlanta Falcons.Falcons DE Calais Campbell: "I wouldn't be surprised if we're playing late in January and potentially February"https://t.co/XIezKRz9xX pic.twitter.com/byr4VIyaG6
