Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pick Up Fifth Year Option On Young Tackle
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have built a winner over the past few years under Tom Brady's leadership at the Quarterback position, but now that he's gone, they're tasked with continuing a winning culture, and that starts with their young talent.
One of their most important young pieces is young tackle Tristan Wirfs, and on Friday, the team confirmed that they are officially picking up his fifth year option, keeping one of the best young tackles in Tampa Bay for at least one more year.
In three years at the NFL level, Wirfs has been a key piece to a Super Bowl run, as well as earning two All-Pro's, so it's safe to say that no matter who is under centre going forward for Tampa Bay, they'll want Wirfs protecting them.Update: The #Buccaneers are picking up the 5th-year option of Pro-Bowl OT Tristan Wirfs.
