Boykin appeared in 16 games last season after he was claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh in April 2022. He only caught two receptions for 11 yards, but became a difference maker on special teams with 10 tackles.
The 26-year-old originally joined the NFL with the Ravens, who selected him in the third round in 2019, and spent his first three seasons there. He caught 33 passes for 470 yards, and seven touchdowns in Baltimore before joining their iconic divisional rival in 2022.
Boykin will remain in a receivers room with the likes of Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, and newly acquired catching threat Allen Robinson, who the Steelers received via trade with the Rams last week.
