The Panthers add some depth on defense with Grugier-Hill, who had 108 tackles in 2021 with the Houston Texans, and played for the Cardinals last season.
Grugier-Hill also gives his new club some help on special teams due to his proven ability on that side of the field.
The defensive stopper was originally a sixth-rounder by the Patriots in 2016, but was waived as a part of final roster cuts before the season began. The Eagles would claim Grugier-Hill off waivers, and he would spend four seasons with Philly before some stints with the Dolphins/Texans.
Grugier-Hill, 28, has two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and four forced fumbles in 58 career appearances.
