NFL Rumors: Minnesota Vikings Attempted To Sign Star Running Back This Off-Season
The Minnesota Vikings had a fantastic 2022 campaign, pushing all the way to an NFC North crown, and while they weren't able to make a deep playoff run, they've set themselves up for plenty of success over the next few years.
Many would think that Dalvin Cook is a big part of that future, and while it appears he may still be, it looks like Minnesota have explored other options, as it has been revealed the team tried to sign former division rival David Montgomery this off-season, before he stayed in the NFC North and joined the Detroit Lions.
This comes after rumours that Cook could be on the trade block this off-season, so after a very successful year, it appears that the Vikings are looking to make some big changes ahead of the 2023 season, but only time will tell if a move is made. The #Vikings had attempted to sign former #Bears RB David Montgomery during free-agency, before he opted to take 3-year, $18M contract with the #Lions, per @BradBiggs
