NFL Rumors: Cincinnati Bengals To Ask RB To Take A Big Pay Cut

The Cincinnati Bengals have been knocking on the door of Super Bowl glory for the past few seasons now, and with the AFC just getting tougher as time goes on, they will need to make some more good moves if they are to finally make that last big jump.

To do that, they'll be looking to free up plenty of money, and now, it has been reported that the team is going to ask star running back Joe Mixon to take a pay cut, and if he doesn't, the expectation is that he will be released.

In recent years, Mixon has had some big games, but has struggled to live up to the expectations that come with his contract, so it makes sense if Cincinnati want to get him on a cheaper deal or move on from him completely, so we will see how this situation plays out in the coming weeks.
