NFL Rumors: Baltimore Ravens Eyeing Trade Up for Superstar Running Back
The Baltimore Ravens may be gearing up for yet another splashy offseason move. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the team is considering a trade-up for Texas running back Bijan Robinson should he fall out of the top 10 of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Graziano suggests the Ravens are making a concerted effort to build up their offense around quarterback Lamar Jackson. "Baltimore is focused on adding playmakers in an attempt to show Lamar Jackson it's serious about bringing him back and building a better offense around him," Graziano said.
The Ravens also notably signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year, $15 million deal earlier this year. The move was regarded as an olive branch to their star quarterback, who requested a trade in March.
Robinson, the 2022 Doak Walker Award winner, is one of the most coveted playmakers in this year's draft. He compiled 3410 rushing yards, 805 receiving yards, and 41 total touchdowns over 31 appearances for the Longhorns. He has ideal size (5'11", 215 lbs) and explosiveness for the position, and his 4.46-second 40-yard dash, 37" vertical leap, and 10'4" broad jump were all among the best marks at this year's combine for running backs.
The Ravens already sported one of the league's most effective rushing attacks in 2022, finishing second in total rushing yards and third in rushing yards per attempt. Adding Robinson could potentially build on that strength, but he would have to be truly exceptional to be more than marginally better than J.K. Dobbins, who averaged 99.3 rushing yards per game and 6.96 yards per attempt over his final four games last season. Still, if snatching Robinson puts the Ravens back in Jackson's good graces, it'd be worth the investment.
