New York Giants Sign Veteran Defensive Tackle
The New York Giants took a massive step forward in 2022, making the playoffs in the first year of the Brian Daboll era, and now they look towards the 2023 season in the hopes that they can take another big leap towards Super Bowl glory.
They've got plenty of improvements to make if they want to make those leaps, and this week, they've beefed up the defensive line, officially agreeing to terms with veteran defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson in a deal worth up to $8 million.
While Robinson isn't going to blow anyone away with his statistical output, but at that position, he effects the game in different ways, and the Giants will be hoping that he can be a good veteran presence in the locker room as well as contributing on the field. The #Giants have agreed to terms with #Rams FA DT A’Shawn Robinson, continuing to beef up their defensive front right before the Draft, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo.
