Jacksonville Jaguars Waive Running Back
The Jacksonville Jaguars have made a roster move, as they have waived Mekhi Sargent.
Sargent did not appear in a single game for the Jaguars this past season, so perhaps this waiver placement is not all that surprising. As a result of this, the 5-foot-8 running back will now be looking to find a new home from here.
Sargent has one year of NFL experience, as he made seven appearances during the 2021 season. However, he was on the move quite often during that campaign, as he spent time with the Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and Los Angeles Rams (where he won a Super Bowl ring). During those appearances, he had zero touchdowns, five rushes, and 11 rushing yards. Overall, he was not utilized very often, but he will be hoping for more chances elsewhere.
Alas, we will need to wait and see what happens with Sargent from here. Teams in need of some running back depth could consider taking a chance on here.
