Detroit Lions Sign Two Tight Ends
The Detroit Lions have been active in their tight end group this offseason, re-signing exclusive rights free agent Shane Zylstra and Brock Wright, according to reports from Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
Zylstra, who saw increased playing time last season after the team traded T.J. Hockenson to the Minnesota Vikings, recorded 11 receptions for 60 yards and four touchdowns in his second season with the Lions.
TE Shane Zylstra & TE Brock Wright have both signed their ERFA tenders, per the transaction wire.

Very common for ERFAs to sign their tenders on the first day of offseason workouts.
Wright, who played in 17 games and was targeted 24 times last season, had 18 receptions for 216 yards and four touchdowns.
With Zylstra, Wright, James Mitchell, a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and Derrick Deese currently in the mix at tight end for the Lions, it remains to be seen if the team will make any more moves to bolster the position group before the 2023 NFL Draft.
However, the Lions' recent activity suggests they are looking to build depth and competition at the tight end position heading into the new season. Photo Credit: Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports
