Baltimore Ravens Sign Young Free Agent Wide Receiver

Free agent wide receiver, Tarik Black, has signed an undisclosed contract with the Baltimore Ravens.

Black's college career at Michigan is notable, where he started as a true freshman before being hampered by injuries. Despite suffering two broken feet, he still managed to catch 25 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown in his junior year, sharing playing time with two future NFL wide receivers in Donovan Peoples-Jones and Nico Collins.

Although Black was undrafted in 2021, he has had stints with the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets before joining the Ravens' practice squad at the start of 2023.

He played one NFL game with the Jets in the 2022 season, catching one pass for 10 yards.

Clifton Brown of the official Baltimore Ravens website reported on Wednesday that Black had signed with the team. However, despite being with the team for a while, Black's chances of securing a spot on the roster may be challenging with the recent addition of Odell Beckham Jr. to the team's growing receiving corps.

Black's future with the Ravens remains to be seen, but his college experience and potential as a wide receiver could be a solid addition to the team's offense. Photo Credit: Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports
