Washington Commanders Sign Former Steelers, Panthers Tackle

The Washington Commanders have officially signed offensive lineman Trent Scott to the team.

The 29-year-old player has previously played for the Los Angeles Chargers, Carolina Panthers, and most recently, the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he was utilized as a swing tackle in the 2021 season.

Scott appeared in eight games for the Steelers, including one start, and saw action on 31 offensive snaps.

With his ability to play both guard and tackle positions, Scott brings versatility to the Commanders' offensive line. He has played 61 games in the NFL with 21 starts, and his addition to the team gives them another option for depth on the offensive line.

Meanwhile, the Steelers are left with only Chuks Okorafor and Dan Moore Jr. at the tackle position after Scott's departure.
