Washington Commanders Sign Former Chiefs Offensive Tackle
The Kansas City Chiefs have been the most successful team in the NFL over the past five seasons, and unsurprisingly, that means that a lot of their players will get paydays elsewhere, and that has become very evident already just one day into free agency.
After five years with the team and a fantastic showing in the Super Bowl, it has been confirmed that starting tackle Andrew Wylie has accepted a deal with the Washington Commanders for three-years, $24 million.
Over that five year stretch, Wylie starting 59 games for the Chiefs, and with Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy off to Washington, it makes sense for him to follow, and if this team can find a Quarterback, they'll no doubt be competitive in a tough NFC in 2023.Source: Former #Chiefs RT Andrew Wylie plans to sign a 3-year, $24M deal with the Washington Commanders, reuniting him with OC Eric Bieniemy. Wylie started 59 games in five years for KC and had the game of his life in the Super Bowl against Philadelphia. Now a nice payday.
