Washington Commanders QB Job An Open Competition For Now
When the Washington Commanders 2022 season came to an end, the first thing that the team looked to do was release veteran Quarterback Carson Wentz, and after starting Sam Howell in Week 17, it left him as the teams default starter going forward, a sentiment that was reiterated by Head Coach Ron Rivera.
Since that point however, the team have signed veteran Quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who started the majority of the season for Cleveland a season ago, and understandably so, Rivera has now viewed the job as an open competition.
With a good defence and some talented young weapons, the Commanders are in a position to compete for a playoff spot in 2023, and if they can find the QB that gives them the best chance to win, this is no doubt a team to watch.Commanders HC Ron Rivera views the starting QB spot as an open competition to win the job.
