Washington Commanders Host Linebacker
The Washington Commanders may be making a move, as they held a visit for free-agent linebacker Anthony Walker.
It ultimately makes sense that the Commanders are considering the prospect of signing Walker, as they could use a boost at the linebacker position. When noting that Walker comes with six years of NFL experience, he certainly would provide them with just that.
Walker was limited to only three games last season with the Cleveland Browns, where he recorded 13 combined tackles. Overall, he was effective when healthy, and he will be aiming to build off of it this upcoming season - whether he's on the Commanders or a different team.
Over the course of his six-year NFL career, Walker has played in 73 games split between the Indianapolis Colts and Browns. During those contests, he has recorded 469 combined tackles to go along with 4.5 sacks. We will now need to wait and see if he gets the chance to improve upon these career stats as a Commander from here.
