Titans Release Center Ben Jones
The Tennessee Titans are parting ways with one of their most established veterans. Per atozsports' Buck Reising, the team is releasing center Ben Jones.
Jones signed a two-year, $14 million deal with the Titans last offseason and delivered a Pro Bowl season, so his cut is a bit of a surprise. He has started 108 games for the Titans since 2016, earning above-average grades from Pro Football Focus for seven straight years. He'll be 34 years old before the start of the regular season, but for any team needing an experienced, hard-nosed offensive lineman, he could be a solid addition.BREAKING: The Titans are releasing center Ben Jones https://t.co/wWb33bqfEF

Jones' release is a testament to the brutal business of the NFL at this time of the year and another indication that the Titans are preparing for a significant rebuild. They've reportedly flirted with trading superstar running back Derrick Henry and long-time quarterback Ryan Tannehill. They currently sit at a little less than $13.3 million under the cap, per overthecap.
