Winovich, 27, spent time with both the Patriots and Cleveland Browns before signing with the Texans on Monday. He was drafted as a third-rounder in 2019 by New England and was traded to the Browns in March, 2022 in exchange for linebacker Mack Wilson.
In his brief four year career Winovich has played in 53 total games. He has tackled a combined 105 times with 26 quarterback hits, and 12 sacks.
Winovich is set to reunite with Texans GM Nick Caserio, who was the former executive in New England for multiple years.
