Tennessee Titans All-Pro Safety Declines Pay Cut
The Tennessee Titans have been having a strange off-season to this point, and it's becoming more and more clear at this point that a team who won several AFC South titles in recent years are heading towards a rebuild in the near future.
Either that or they are looking to retool in a big way, and to do that, they need as much cap space as possible, and it has been reported that in recent days, the team have approached All-Pro Safety Kevin Byard about taking a pay cut to give them more flexibility.
It appears however that he does not intend to accept that, and at this point, it appears that he will be released in the coming days if this remains the case, and while that will give the team plenty of cap space, it will mean that yet another star will be departing.I’m told Titans all-pro safety Kevin Byard was approached about taking a pay cut recently and coming off 5th season with 4+ INTs in last 6 years he doesn’t intend to take it.

Byard always planned to spend his whole career w/ Titans. But it appears ball is in Titans court.
