Tampa Bay Buccaneers Re-Sign Veteran Linebacker
Thus far in the 2023 off-season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have focused on releasing players as they look to get under the salary cap for the 2023 NFL season, but on the third day of free agency, the team have finally begun making some acquisitions.
The first of the day was a solid re-signing, as the team have brought back veteran linebacker Lavonte David on a one-year deal, which will be the 12th of his career in Tampa Bay as he enters his age 33 season.
David was a second round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2012, and over that time, he's been a leader for this defence, racking up three All-Pro's over that time, and with a one-year deal, he will attempt to lead the Buccaneers into a new era of prosperity and success.Veteran LB Lavonte David is returning to the #Bucs on a one-year, $7 million guaranteed deal, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
