Tampa Bay Buccaneers Re-Sign Star Cornerback
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went all in during the era of Tom Brady, and while it paid off with great success, as the team won a Super Bowl and features in the playoffs all three seasons, they are now facing the aftermath and salary cap crunch that comes with that mindset.
This off-season, they have already release three veteran players, with fears that a full on rebuild is coming, and while this news doesn't alleviate those fears, it's a good move for Tampa Bay, as the team have now re-signed star cornerback Jamel Dean.
The deal is for four-years, $52 million, with $26 million of that guaranteed, and while he's not one of the biggest names out there, he certainly plays his role well, and will develop into a leader for this franchise going forward.Breaking: FA CB Jamel Dean plans to sign with the sources tell @theScore.
