The Kansas City Chiefs are back to work after winning Super Bowl LVII. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the champs are bringing in South Carolina cornerback Cam Smith for a pre-draft visit.

Smith made 32 appearances for the Gamecocks from 2019 to 2022, nabbing six interceptions and breaking up 18 passes. He also impressed at the NFL combine by running a 4.43-second 40-yard dash and posting solid numbers in the vertical jump (38") and broad jump (11'2").
The Chiefs won the Super Bowl primarily on the back of an offense that led the league in points scored and yards gained, but their pass defense was one of the league's best too. Their 5.6 net yards per passing attempt allowed was the fourth-best mark in the league, a remarkable number for a team so effective on offense. Snatching Smith in the first or second round would add strength to strength.
