Seattle Seahawks Re-Sign Veteran Quarterback
The Seattle Seahawks surprised the entire NFL world in 2022, as they defied the doubters to claim a Wild Card spot in the NFC, and while there were many factors to this success, the most important of all was the play of veteran Quarterback Geno Smith.
Now, after winning 2022 Comeback Player of the Year, Smith and the Seahawks are officially finalizing a new, multi-year contract that will keep the 32-year old in a Seahawks uniform until he is 35, paying him $105M over that time.
With two top tier wide receivers in D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, as well as an emerging star in the backfield in Kenneth Walker, this is a team that has a very bright future, and if Smith can replicate the success of 2022, they'll be a tough team to stop in the NFC.The #Seahawks and Pro Bowl QB Geno Smith are finalizing a new multi-year contract, sources tell me and @RapSheet.

Smith, 32, would’ve become a free agent. Instead, he’ll stay in Seattle, where he won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year last season. pic.twitter.com/3fFmVzdl8E
