San Francisco 49ers To Pick Up 5th Year Option On Young Wide Receiver
The San Francisco 49ers have one of the best offensive skill groups in the entire NFL, and if it wasn't for the injury suffered to Quarterback Brock Purdy in the NFC Championship Game, they would have no doubt shown off en route to the Super Bowl.
One of those weapons that is slowly emerging into a star is former first-round pick Brandon Aiyuk, and on Monday, it was confirmed that the 49ers will indeed be picking up his fifth-year option for the 2024 NFL season.
2022 was a career year for Aiyuk, as he hauled in 78 passes for 1,015 yards and 8 Touchdowns, and if they can find consistent QB play all season long, he may emerge into a genuine star in the NFL, which everyone in San Francisco believes he can be.The 49ers plan to pick up Brandon Aiyuk's fifth-year option for the 2024 season, which would lock them into a $14.124 million guaranteed contract with him for that season
