San Francisco 49ers Tackle Unlikely To Return To Team In Free Agency
The San Francisco 49ers were once again one of the best teams in the NFL this past season, and while their Quarterback position fell apart by the end of their campaign, the offensive line once again showed why they can be the best unit in the league.
With Trent Williams, it will always be tough to go up against the 49ers front, and in 2022, they saw another fantastic campaign from Mike McGlinchey, who now hits the open market as one of the best tackles available.
While the 49ers certainly want to bring him back, it looks like he may be pricing himself out of a return, with GM John Lynch not sounding optimistic about a return, and with teams like the Chicago Bears and New York Jets reportedly interested, he could be getting paid this off-season.John Lynch doesn't seem optimistic that the 49ers will be able to afford a Mike McGlinchey re-signing.

“So that stinks, but could he miss his market? Sure. And then would we be interested? Of course we would. But I don’t see that happening. I see him being a coveted player.”
