San Francisco 49ers Re-Sign Veteran Safety
The San Francisco 49ers fielded an elite defence in 2022, and it was their mixture of youth and experience that makes them especially dangerous, and if they can bring back many of the names from this season, they'll be tough to stop yet again in 2023.
On Sunday, they made a solid first move this off-season, as they officially re-signed veteran safety Tashaun Gipson to a one-year, $2.9 million deal, bringing the veteran back for his second season with the 49ers.
The 32-year old has been in the NFL since going un-drafted back in 2012, playing for five teams over that tenure, and while he's no longer the player he once was, he provides a veteran presence that the 49ers find invaluable as they look to finally win the big one with this core group. One year, $2.9 million for Tashaun Gipson back to the #49ers, source says. https://t.co/1MgYM2LFqX
