San Francisco 49ers Linked To Former No. 1 Overall Pick
The San Francisco 49ers were just one step away from the Super Bowl this past season, but with their documented Quarterback issues, the job just became too hard, and now they'll use this off-season to fix that problem.
Last week, General Manager John Lynch said that the organization will look to add a veteran Quarterback to the mix, and now, it appears the team could be eyeing former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield to fill that role.
It's unclear whether Mayfield would join the 49ers given his desire to once again be a starter in the NFL, but if he can find a role sitting behind either Trey Lance or Brock Purdy, with the potential to play if they unfortunately get hurt, it would make sense for both sides.The #49ers could be a team to show interest in QB Baker Mayfield, per SI’s @AlbertBreer.
