Philadelphia Eagles Re-Sign Veteran Defensive Lineman
The Philadelphia Eagles spent the first day of free agency losing several key players from their recent Super Bowl run, but over the past few days, they've made a few solid signings of their own, with the most important coming on Wednesday.
After losing Javon Hargrave to the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles have now brought back veteran Fletcher Cox on a one-year deal worth $10 million as they look to run through a tough NFC East division once again in 2023.
Cox reportedly turned down better offers from other squads, but after spending his entire 11 year career with Philadelphia to this point, it was clear he wanted to return to the Eagles with the desire to win a second Super Bowl.Six-time Pro-Bowl DT Fletcher Cox is returning to the Eagles on a one-year, $10 million deal, per sources.
