NFL Rumors: Titans Shopping Superstar Running Back
The Tennessee Titans are reportedly shopping their star running back, Derrick Henry, for a potential trade.
Michael Silver of Bally Sports reported that multiple NFL general managers confirmed that the Titans were exploring trade conversations during the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine.
While Henry is a dominant player, leading the NFL in rushing yards twice and surpassing 1,500 rushing yards in three of the last four seasons, he is also 29 years old with a significant cap hit of $16.4 million in 2023.
With the Titans finishing the 2022 season with a bottom-five offense and seven straight losses, the team may be looking for a fresh start and potentially using the trade to rebuild their offense.

However, a trade involving Henry would be challenging as his salary is set at $10 million, and running backs in their 30s are often not as productive.
Nevertheless, Henry's all-pro level play could be enticing for a team that feels they are one player away from a deep playoff run. The compensation for such a trade remains unclear, and any potential deal would likely draw strong reactions from the Titans fan base.
Henry has spent all seven seasons of his career with the Titans, amassing 8,335 rushing yards and 78 rushing touchdowns over 102 games.
