NFL Rumors: New Orleans Saints WR Thomas Still Not 100%
The New Orleans Saints aren't exactly painting a rosy picture of their two-time All-Pro's prospects. Speaking with the media Tuesday, head coach Dennis Allen revealed that wide receiver Michael Thomas still hasn't fully recovered from a toe injury that cost him all but three games of the 2022 season.
Stop me if you've heard this one before: Dennis Allen says he won't get into specifics about Mike Thomas' recovery timeline, but he's not 100% right now.

The rise and fall of Thomas is one of the more unfortunate tales in recent NFL history. After setting the league on fire with a sensational 470 receptions for 5512 yards over his first four seasons, the three-time Pro Bowler has seen his career fall to pieces thanks to various ailments, chief among them a lingering ankle injury. Over the past three seasons, Thomas has appeared in only 10 games and totalled 603 yards.
The Saints signed Thomas to a renegotiated one-year, $10 million deal earlier this offseason primarily to create cap relief, but hopes he can turn around his precipitous fall from grace appear dim. Now 30 years old, it would be one of the most pleasant surprises and comeback stories of recent times if Thomas ever rediscovers his record-breaking peak.
