Carter spent the 2022 season with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he posted the best numbers of his career with 46 receptions for 538 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to contributing on special teams.
The 29-year had to play behind star receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but really stepped up when either or both receivers went down with injury.

Carter has played for nine different NFL teams since entering the league in 2015, including the Raiders as a practice squad member during his rookie season.
Should a deal be reached, he would likely return to the Raiders in a bigger role.
For his career, spanning five seasons and 77 games, Carter has amassed 104 receptions for 1,220 yards (11.7 avg) and six touchdowns.
