NFL Rumors: Las Vegas Raiders Attempted To Trade Up To The No. 1 Pick With Chicago
Before free agency officially opened, the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears got a blockbuster deal done, as the Panthers traded up from No. 9 overall to the No. 1 pick, essentially putting them in the position to draft the Quarterback of their choice in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Now it has been reported that the Las Vegas Raiders, before they pivoted to the veteran Jimmy Garoppolo as their new starter attempted to trade up to that spot, but found the asking price from Chicago to be way too much.
Reportedly, Chicago asked for a pick swap in 2023, as well as two future 1st-round picks as well as two future 2nd-round picks, but now they have Jimmy G and a stacked group of weapons to try and run the gauntlet of the AFC West.Report: The #Raiders attempted to trade for the #Bears 1st overall pick prior to the #Panthers trading up, but the price was too steep (via @TheAthletic)
