NFL Rumors: Carolina Panthers Open To Trading Back In 2023 NFL Draft
The Carolina Panthers recently made the shocking move of trading away two first round picks, a second round pick, a fourth round pick and star wide receiver D.J. Moore to the Chicago Bears for the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, and now, things could be getting even more interesting.
According to reports, the Panthers are open to moving back in the draft after moving from No. 9 to No. 1, and while it's likely that only the Houston Texans at two could persuade them to trade back, it's still a very realistic possibility.
With over six weeks left until the 2023 NFL Draft, there's going to be plenty of talk about that pick, but if they can recoup a first-round pick or two from Houston, it makes sense that if they have their eye on more than one QB, they could trade back.Panthers will take a QB at 1 but have a couple guys they like. Also not discounting trading back to 2 and recouping some of what they just gave up. “We control it now,” a Panther source says.
