NFL Deny Motion To Make Certain Penalties Reviewable
The NFL Owners Meetings are in full swing down in Arizona right now, and on top of discussing potential trades between General Managers, the league has been voting on certain proposals from NFL teams, and on Tuesday, a very controversial one was shut down.
One of the biggest proposals was to make roughing the passer penalties reviewable, and given how many mistakes were made by officials last season, it seems to a fan that this would be a landslide approval, with many games being turned by poor calls.
Unfortunately, it appears the NFL has once again put too much trust in its officials, and will rely on them to once again control the outcome of some games, but given the potential to get more calls correct, it's strange that this move was not approved. The proposal to make roughing the passing reviewable was not approved, source said.
