New York Jets Re-Sign Veteran Kicker
The New York Jets and their fans have been growing nervous throughout the day, as they are waiting for an answer from four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers, and while that limits them slightly in the ability to make a big move, it didn't stop them from making a good one.
Today, the Jets confirmed that they have re-signed veteran kicker Greg 'The Leg' Zuerlein, who joined the team on a one year deal last off-season, and while it's not been made clear yet what the parameters of the deal are, bringing consistency to the position is vital.
In his one year with New York, Zuerlein converted on 30 of 37 field goal attempts, including a franchise record 60 yard strike, and was almost perfect with 28/29 XPA's converted, and after struggling for years to find a kicker, the veteran has found a home for his 12th year in the NFL.Kickers are important too.
