New York Jets Rumors: Free-Agent Linebacker On Team's Radar
The Los Angeles Rams made a surprising decision when they released linebacker Bobby Wagner after his solid season. Now the veteran is garnering a lot of interest around the league, and the New York Jets are one of the teams planning to pursue him.
The Jets are looking to improve their roster, as they are aiming to become a playoff team again. As a result, it makes sense that Wagner is a player who they are targeting. Although he was released by the Rams, he was a second-team All-Pro in 2022, so he is clearly still a good player. In 17 games with the Rams, he recorded 140 combined tackles to go along with a career-high 6.0 sacks.
Wagner would make the Jets' defense a lot better if they sign him, so it makes sense that they are planning to make a pitch for him once free agency officially begins. However, even with this being so, teams like the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, and Baltimore Ravens are all being linked to the 11-year veteran.
