New York Giants Re-Sign Young Wide Receiver
While the Giants took a massive step forward in 2022, they weren't able to go on a deep playoff run, and the biggest reason for that was the lack of weapons on the outside for Daniel Jones, as they suffered some devastating injuries to their wide receiver group.
It appears that early in this off-season, they're trying to right that wrong, as they have signed Jeff Smith and Parris Campbell, as well as re-signing Sterling Shepard, and now we can add Darius Slayton to that list.
Slayton was originally a fifth round pick of the Giants back in 2019, and has been a consistent contributor to the team ever since, hauling in 46 catches for 724 yards in 2022, and will bring the chemistry and familiarity back into this talented group. The #Giants have agreed to terms to re-sign WR Darius Slayton, sources tell me and @RapSheet. The 2019 fifth-round pick returns to East Rutherford after a bounce-back season (46 catches for 724 yards).
