New York Giants Re-Sign Former First-Round Pick
The New York Giants took a major step forward in 2022, with Brian Daboll, Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley leading this team to a divisional round clash with Philadelphia, but it was the defence who time and time again stood up and made big plays.
Now, the team have officially brought back a starter from a season ago in the form of former first-round pick Jarrad Davis, who was claimed off waivers from Detroit mid-way through the season, before he would ultimately start both of their playoff games.
Unfortunately, Davis hasn't quite lived up to the expectations of a first-round pick thus far in his career, and while he has more than enough ability, he just hasn't put it together, but with the Giants clearly valuing him going forward, he could finally get to that point in 2023 and beyond. The Giants re-signed LB Jarrad Davis, whom they claimed off the Lions' practice squad in late December. Davis, a 28-year-old former first-round pick (2017 by the Lions) was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. He started both Giants playoff games.
