Johnson, who played out the final year of his four-year contract with the Houston Texans in 2021, was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2024 before being waived and claimed by the Tennessee Titans.
In his career so far, Johnson has played in 56 NFL games, starting 19 for the Houston Texans after being drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft.

In seven starts for the #Texans in 2021, Johnson had 3 INTs and 6 PBUs. The versatile CB/Safety is a former 2nd-round pick, who I’m told had three different suitors in free agency. pic.twitter.com/gdmrKu0CqY
Capable of playing both safety and corner, Johnson will provide depth in the Saints' secondary while also contributing on special teams.
With the ability to play multiple positions and experience in the league, Johnson will be a valuable asset to the team.
Entering his fifth NFL season, the 27-year-old has recorded 183 total tackles, three interceptions and 13 passes defended across 56 games played.
