New England Patriots Working On Re-Signing Veteran Cornerback
The New England Patriots had a very up and down 2022 season that saw them miss the playoffs, but fortunately for their future, they found some very talented young pieces that will help them grow in the Mac Jones era.
One of those players is veteran cornerback Jonathan Jones, who showed his skill at both the cornerback position and special teams, and with his speed, he's expected to be one of the most sought after players on the free agent market next week.
Unsurprisingly, it's been revealed today that New England have begun working on re-signing their young star, and after spending his entire seven year career with the Patriots, he may be hitting free agency, but it makes sense for both parties to come together and bring him back.Update: #Patriots CB Jonathan Jones and the team are working on a new contract, a source told @ByMarkDaniels

It's still considered likely he'll hit the free-agent market. Jones is one of the fastest players in the NFL and will have teams looking at him.https://t.co/9B2tVEgaeB pic.twitter.com/KBiMctoyDf
