New England Patriots Sign Young Running Back
The New England Patriots were hoping that Mac Jones could do the impossible task of replacing Tom Brady's decades of excellence when they drafted him back in 2021, and while he's been solid thus far, he certainly hasn't taken that next step yet.
If he is to do that, the team needs to put better weapons around him, and after signing JuJu Smith-Schuster earlier in the day, the team have now agreed to a two-year deal with promising young running back James Robinson, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.
In three years at the NFL level, Robinson has racked up almost 3,000 all-purpose yards, despite injury issues, along with 23 Touchdowns, and while he won't be the lead back in New England, he'll no doubt play a good role. The Patriots are signing RB James Robinson to a two-year deal worth up to $8M.
