New England Patriots Land Star Wide Receiver
The New England Patriots have started free agency slow this year, and after losing their top wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Las Vegas Raiders, it became clear that this team was going to go big game hunting for their next WR1.
Many expected a trade for names such as Mike Evans, DeAndre Hopkins or Brandin Cooks, but today, the team have officially come to terms with Super Bowl winning wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster on a three-year, $33 million deal.
That was the same deal handed to Meyers by the Raiders, so it appears the team was looking to move on from him, and now the Patriots will have a proven wide receiver on the outside for Mac Jones as they look to battle through a very tough AFC East division in 2023 and beyond.Excited for my next chapter in New England! I will give this organization everything I have, thank you for believing in me! 🙏🏾🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/EwOxy7L7yz
