Minnesota Vikings Considering Releasing Longtime WR
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Minnesota Vikings are considering releasing Adam Thielen.
There’s a real possibility that the Vikings and Adam Thielen will part ways in the coming days, allowing the two-time Pro-Bowl WR to become a free agent, per sources. The two sides will talk in coming days, but his time in Minnesota could be coming to an end.

Schefter noted that the Vikings and Thielen will continue to have discussions about restructuring his contract. However, if these talks do not lead to anything, we should not be surprised Thielen released once free agency officially begins.
Thielen has been with the Vikings since the 2014 season when he made the team after a successful tryout. Since then, he has appeared in 135 career NFL games and appeared in two Pro Bowls in the process. Overall, he has had a successful tenure as a Viking, but now it could very well be coming to a close.
Thielen's best days may be gone, but he displayed last season that he is still an effective receiver in the NFL. In 17 games last season, he recorded six touchdowns, 70 receptions, and 716 receiving yards. As a result, expect for him to garner plenty of interest around the league if he is officially released.
