Miami Dolphins Pick Up Fifth Year Option On Star Quarterback
The Miami Dolphins were able to take a massive step forward in 2022 after the addition of Tyreek Hill, and the play of young Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, when healthy, was a big reason for that, but even still, there's been questions about his future as a Dolphin.
Those questions haven't been answered today, but they've certainly been answered for now, as on Friday, Miami informed their young QB that they will be picking up his fifth year option, keeping him as a member of this team until the end of 2024.
They've cleared plenty of cap space in the last 24 hours, with some suggesting they could be chasing a Quarterback, but if they instead use that to put weapons around him, this could be a genuine contender in the AFC in 2023.The #Dolphins have informed QB Tua Tagovailoa they’re picking up his fifth-year option, sources say. Once executed, Tagovailoa will be guaranteed $23.2 million for the 2024 season.
