Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach Wants Running Back To Remain With The Team
In recent years, the Los Angeles Chargers have been hard at work building a talented young team around Quarterback Justin Herbert, and while they've yet to experience playoff success, they've got plenty of potential, and a lot of that is centred around star running back Austin Ekeler.
Unfortunately, he has requested a trade in recent weeks, as the contract negotiations haven't been going as he desired, but on Sunday, Head Coach Brandon Staley outright stated that he wants his star back to remain a Charger going forward.
In 2022 along, Ekeler accounted for over 1,600 all-purpose yards and 18 Touchdowns, and if they can fill in other holes on this roster, he can be a key piece to a playoff run that's been years in the making for Los Angeles.
