Las Vegas Raiders Sign Former Commanders Wide Receiver

The Las Vegas Raiders have added free-agent wide receiver Cam Sims to their roster, signing him to a reported one-year deal.

Sims, who spent his entire five-year career with the Washington Commanders, recorded 57 catches for 804 yards and three touchdowns in 55 games.

He emerged as a reliable target for Washington in 2020, catching 32 passes for 477 yards and had a standout performance in a wild-card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, Sims saw limited action in the team's passing game over the last two seasons, with just eight catches for 89 yards in 2022.

He will be joining the Raiders as a backup receiver, behind their formidable trio of Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, and Hunter Renfrow.

Sims will be looking to carve out a larger role with the Raiders and reunite with former Washington offensive coordinator Scott Turner, who recently joined the team as their pass-game coordinator.
