Las Vegas Raiders Likely To Franchise Tag Star Running Back
The Las Vegas Raiders were once again disappointing in 2022, despite their offensive output, and after moving on from Derek Carr, this off-season becomes one of the most important in recent franchise memory.
With a trio of star weapons on the outside in Davante Adams, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow, they have a chance to bounce back and compete for a Wild Card spot if they can find their QB, and now, it's been confirmed that if they can't reach a long term deal with star running back Josh Jacobs, he'll be franchise tagged for the 2023 NFL season.
Jacobs was the NFL's rushing leader in 2022, as he put up some incredible numbers despite the injuries this team continued to suffer, and now it appears he'll wait at least one more year before testing the free agent market, unless the two sides can come to a deal before Tuesday. The #Raiders plan to place the franchise tag on star RB Josh Jacobs if the sides don’t reach a deal by Tuesday’s deadline, per sources.
