Las Vegas Raiders Find Their New Starting Quarterback
The Las Vegas Raiders made a call that seemed a long time coming this off-season when they officially released Derek Carr after nine seasons as the teams starting Quarterback, and now, it appears they've wasted absolutely no time in finding a suitable replacement.
Just a few hours into the free agency market opening up, the Raiders have officially signed Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year, $67.5 million deal, and with the connections to Josh McDaniels, this was a deal that always made sense.
While it isn't the flashiest move, Garoppolo will give them a veteran presence and a proven winner, and if the offence can stay healthy this year, there's no reason why the Raiders shouldn't be competing for a playoff spot in 2023.Comp update: Raiders are giving former 49ers’ QB Jimmy Garoppolo a three-year, $67.5 million deal, including $34 million guaranteed, per source.
