Kansas City Chiefs Sign Former Buccaneers Safety
The Kansas City Chiefs were once again one of the best teams in the entire NFL in 2022, as they went all the way to capture yet another Super Bowl crown under Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, and this off-season has made it clear that they're aiming for back-to-back in 2023.
After some solid moves already, they've now added another playmaker in the form of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Mike Edwards to a very cheap one-year deal worth up to $3 million.
In four years at the NFL level, Edwards has been a fantastic playmaker, key in the Buccaneers recent Super Bowl win, and given the pressure that's on in Kansas City, he will be the perfect addition to a very talented defensive unit. The #Chiefs are signing former #Bucs S Mike Edwards, source said. Coming off his best season with 82 tackles and two picks, he now lands in KC.
