Kansas City Chiefs Re-Sign Veteran Defensive Tackle
The Kansas City Chiefs topped off an impressive 2022 NFL campaign by securing their second Super Bowl in franchise history, and while a lot of that credit goes to their superstar roster, depth is key for any Championship run in the NFL.
On Tuesday, they officially rewarded a key piece of that depth, as they re-signed defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi, who has been with the team since he was a third round pick back in 2018, and will continue his impressive career with the team.
Over that time, Nnadi has racked up 193 tackles, 4 sacks and 1 forced fumble, and while he's likely not going to develop into a star, he's a crucial locker room guy and a good presence next to Chris Jones, so this is a great move for Kansas City.Update: The #Chiefs have signed back DT Derrick Nnadi, a 2018 3rd round pick who played his entire career with the team, per his agent SportsTrust.
